Quick Screen Cleaning Tip
When you get ready to put away your window screens until next spring, clean them before storing them away. But don’t use soapy water and a scrub brush, unless it’s necessary to remove stubborn, caked-on dirt. Instead, clean each side of the screen with a vacuum and upholstery brush attachment. This way, you can scrub loose dirt and vacuum the screens clean at the same time. When done, store the screens in large plastic trash bags or wrap them in a plastic tarp to keep out dust.
